Dear Billy (the day my cat died)

I remember the day I adopted both you and your brother (Cucho). My friend Sue was telling me to hold you, in order to pose for the adoption photographs. It was weird for me, ’cause I had never being in contact with cats, and here I was, getting 2 into my life. You were the shy one, back when I lived in my old apartment, but after your second surgery, you became sweeter and more affectionate with me. When the 3 of us moved back to my parents’s home (later, Pishus would join us), just for a few months, you captured my mom’s heart (she never forgot how you still went up to her, when mom and dad visited my new apartment). It was no secret that you were an ill cat, I knew that from the beginning, and I am grateful to have had your love and company for over 4 years. However, dear partner, I sure am gonna miss ya. I know Cucho will miss grooming you, Leia will have one less cat buddy to harrass (Pishus forgave you for the tag team beating you and your brother gave her) . Rest easy sweetheart, you’ll always be here with me.
