Trapped in some drama
Some explanations take an R&B opera. I felt like sharing some music to go with today’s mood. This is just the first of 12 parts:
Here’s an interesting merge of all 12 parts, though you can’t quite understand each chapter’s lyrics:
Chapters 1-12 of R. Kelly’s Trapped In The Closet Synced and Played Simultaneously (2006) by Michael [...]

The definition of home
I realize that I have been posting way too less than I ever did. So, let’s catch up! Tonight we’ll be playing and discussing Garden State, one of my all time favorite movies, as you might recall, on my favorite bar. This film is truly important to me: I think I first saw it when [...]

Pre-production ruled!
Today’s pre-production meeting regarding a teaser trailer for 7 Minutes in Heaven (my latest book) so rocked! I met with the cast, the director and art director, and we already have dates figured out (no more procastination, no sir ;). Very exciting indeed!

Lunch with the folks/The Dark Knight
I will turn 28 on wednesday. Can’t friggin’ believe it. So, my folks treated me for lunch yesterday. It wasn’t as ackward as I imagined it would be (they’re separated), and I lived through it. I was disappointed, however, that they did not get to join me for my 5th time watching The Dark Knight. [...]

We haven’t located us yet
I love Wes Anderson’s films. The Royal Tenanbaums has such a great story, casting and soundtrack; The Life Aquatic of Steve Zissou has that same combination of irony and tenderness. Last night I was so inspired by both Hotel Chevalier (the short film that precedes the actual long running feature) and The Darjeeling Limited. The [...]

Should we continue this in the bedroom?
A few months maybe, I’d be feeling like The Continental. You remember, that super funny SNL sketch were Christopher Walken strikes out with the ladies. Now, I feel like him sometimes, but my foot is hardly in my mouth (contrary to him) now. But, just like The Continental, I’d love to have some female companionship, [...]
